Yesterday was World Down Syndrome Day! At Twin Cedars Elementary, we celebrated Lilly. She has touched each of our hearts and makes us smile every day. We are so lucky!

Micah, Kadyn, and Rachael recently competed at the Iowa High School State Speech Competition and did extremely well! Micah competed in Original Oratory and received two 1 ratings and one 2 rating. Kadyn competed in Storytelling and received two 1 ratings and one 2 rating. Rachael competed in Improvisational Acting and received 1 ratings on ALL three of her performances! Great job representing Twin Cedars!

The junior-senior high I-STEP chapter celebrated St. Patrick's Day by hosting a lemonade stand during lunch and rewarding the students who found hidden clovers with a prize!






The Baseball program has a little fundraising coming up. Tomorrow (March 18th) they are teaming up with Big Blue Nutrition from 9am-2pm. Then on April 3rd, Thelma's is back with Ham ball dinners. Pick up will be from 4:30-6:30 that evening. Get your tickets today!



2nd grade watched Deke Naaktgeboren from Pella cross the finish line at the Iditarod yesterday!


Child Development class welcomed our special guests to class today, Mrs. Gangel and Miss Anna. Thank you, ladies, for helping teach us about infant development.

K-6th graders having been coding at different times this year. Right now K and 1st grade have taken on the challenge. They honestly have picked it up pretty easily. They are having fun!




2023-2024 Preschool registration is open. Forms are due Friday, April 28.


The next couple of weeks, 3rd-11th grade students will be taking ISASPs tests. ISASP- Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress- are used to make instructional decisions and are reported to the state and federal government. Please speak with your child about the importance of doing their best on the test! :D

Habitat for Humanity would like to team up with Twin Cedars Industrial Tech to build a house in Bussey. In order to do this, we are looking for land! Free land would be ideal but reasonable price for the land is not out of the question. Please contact Mark Bacus if you have any land you would be willing to part with!
