Today, the 8th Grade Careers class learned about the Stock Market. They each created a company and a product. They then tried their hand at selling shares in their companies to the other members of the class. In the first class, Tanner Anderson sold the most stock and Cicalee Roland was voted as the inventor with the best product, “Silly Socks”. In the second class, Brock Micetich sold the most shares and Dylan Keyes was voted as having the best product, “Pebble Pets”. Learning while having fun is a great blueprint for success!

Yesterday, both buildings practiced a new drill called a LOCKDOWN. Emergency Management, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, and Crisis Canines of the Midlands were all present for our drill. K9 Glory was a great asset and helped ease the anxiety of our staff and students.
