Twin Cedars Community School District

Twin Cedars will dismiss at noon on Wednesday due to a severe weather event. There is a risk of rollover for high profile vehicles, such as buses, due to high winds with gusts 55-70 mph and possibly higher. Buses will be off the road before the winds arrive. There is also a high potential for power outages and wind damage. All PM activities are cancelled. Stay safe.

Grinch day dress-up! Karter Schippers winning again! We had a three way tie for 2nd place: Logan Sisler, Leah Weldon, and Eleanor McMurphy.

Just a reminder: Tonight (Mon, Dec 13th) is the Winter Concert. The junior will be having a soup supper from 4:45-7:30. Available soups are Chili, Broccoli and Cheese, and Potato. Elementary will perform at 6:00. JH/HS will perform at 7:30. Hope to see you all there.

Today’s winners for dress like your favorite holiday movie character were first place, Harper VanEssen, and second place, Kate Weldon and Karter Schippers.

Winter Wonderland dress-up winner was Avery VanEssen. Ms. Wanders took 2nd place followed by Bo Hoy in 3rd.

Easton Courtney was our first place flannel winner today! Benton Kendall was 2nd, and Mrs. McCarty was third. Tomorrow is Winter Wonderland.

Today’s winners for Candy Cane Day were Lincoln Courtney and Kaysen Boots. These boys tied for 1st place. Third place was Landyn Myers.

Need full-time bus driver beginning January 4. Starting pay is $20 per hour, 3 hour a day guarantee.

Karter Schippers won first prize for his Christmas socks today. Michael Sherman was 2 nd place with socks actually made by his Elf on a Shelf. Third place was Sydney McElroy. Tomorrow is Candy Cane Day. Can’t wait to see how students dress up!

Last Nights National Honor Society induction ceremony was another very special night here at Twin Cedars! Congratulations to all of the new inductees!

Thank-you ladies of the Attica Methodist Church for all the books delivered today! Every K-6 student received a new book. We love it!

Thank-you “book-buddies!” These Kindergarten students love their new books and can read many of the words themselves.

Lady Sabers roll Murray 51-39 and remain undefeated in the Blue Grass Conference!

Storybook Players from Oskaloosa performed for the elementary today! They also ate lunch with us.

Girls’ Sabers basketball falls to Wayne 52-34.
