Yesterday, the juniors went to Pella Corporation to do a mock interview. This is a great experience for the students. I would like to thank the Pella Corporation team for taking time out of their busy schedule to teach the juniors about the interview process.


Oh how our students have enjoyed Mystery Readers in library this week. So far, 1st grade listened to Erika DeGeest. Kindergarten listened to Sheriff Sandholt, Deputy Short and Deputy Dallas. Fifth grade listened to Makayla Hirchak. The other grades are excited to find out their Mystery Readers!




April Students of the Month: Izabella Weldon, Rose Moorman, Wyatt Crozier, Charlotte Hoy, Lacius Lankford, Joseph Goemaat, Ayden Brees, Heartlyn Vancenbrock, Bella Zook, Cassidy Duckworth, Ben Moorman, Saphira Evans, Kaydin Fee, Emma Reece and Easton Courtney. This month we also added bus riders of the month. Those students were Zoey Weldon, Sydney McElroy, Michael Sherman and Scarlette Richards. Congratulations to all!


Happy May Day!! We had so much fun delivering "happiness" and never got caught. :D


On Sunday, Rylee Dunkin was part of the Governor's Scholar Recognition Program at Hy-Vee Hall. Students are selected by their schools as being a top academic achiever. Congratulations Rylee!


The Twin Cedars Baseball Alumni Game is this Saturday! Make sure you come out and support the baseball team!



Friday was Beach Day!






There will be a Title I parent meeting on Friday, May 5 at 8:30 am. Stop in Mrs. Micetich's classroom and learn more about the Title I program before the Track & Field day gets started at 9:00 am with running events.


Elementary Track and Field Day is Friday, May 5. After-Prom is offering a "meal deal." Please have forms turned in by Tuesday if you would like to order.
Also, elementary track and field day is for students in grades K-6. Junior high and high school students are expected to be IN class, not at the track. Thanks!

The Twin Cedars FFA Antique Power Show and Vendor show has been rescheduled for May 27, 2023! We will also have greenhouse plants for sale!


We want to take the opportunity to thank Glenda Carlson on National Administrative Professionals Day! We have the best secretary who is the face of this school! Join us in thanking her for all of her hard work and dedication!


On Monday, April 24th, the 9th graders had the chance to tour the Pella Career Academy! Students visited several programs, including hospitality, industrial tech and agriculture.




On Tuesday, April 25th, the junior class had the chance to tour The University of Iowa campus in Iowa City and learn more about the opportunities available to them there. They also got to dine like college students and catch up with a TC alum who currently attends there!



Friday, April 28, is beach day at the elementary! Bring a beach towel to sit on the floor and eat lunch in the cafeteria. We will listen to some great music and enjoy the nice weather!
