Twin Cedars varsity boys track had a great first meet at Central in Pella. All athletes did great, but big showing by Noah Fee winning the long jump, Wyatt Findley for 2nd in shot put and our 4x800 team finished 3rd! Great job, Sabers!!

There will be a lunch menu change for Thursday. High School will be having Turkey gravy w/mashed potatoes, roll or Chicken & beans rice bowl and fresh carrots. Elementary will be having a Corn dog and fresh carrots. As always fruit at both buildings. Have a great week!!

Thanks to a beef grant from the Iowa Beef Council, students in Advanced Foods could practice proper cooking techniques for tougher cuts of beef. Low and slow is the way to go! Yum! Up next, tender cuts. Bring on the ribeyes!! Thanks, Iowa Beef Council!

I am Ms. Gillaspie, an aspiring JH/HS math teacher. I am a current student at William Penn University in the final steps of attaining my teaching license for 5-12 math, as well as the aspiring educators ISEA representative for William Penn University. I have the opportunity to spend time in Mr. Haar’s classroom from now until April 26th. I will eventually take full responsibility of his classes for a minimum of 3 weeks from March 18th to April 5th under Mr. Haar’s supervision.
Aside from being an aspiring educator, I am a mom of a 6th grade girl and have an adopted cat named Mittens. We love spending time outdoors whenever we can, including camping, kayaking, and walking on the trails at lake red rock. We are also big Harry Potter fans in our house and I love to binge read sci-fi books when on break from school.
I look forward to continuing to get to know and work with your students in the 16 weeks that I am here. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mr. Haar or myself.
Sincerely,
Ms. Gillaspie
