Thank you to Michael in 4th grade for bringing in his Lego Titanic! We were excited to display it in library for a day as we prepare to research the Titanic over the next couple of weeks.

Dear Parent, Guardian, or other Legally Responsible Adult:
All Iowa public school districts are required to administer an annual school climate and culture survey to students in grades 3-12 called Conditions for Learning Survey. The Survey is designed to measure their engagement in school, safety and the overall learning environment.
From April 1-30, 2024, parents and families of students in preschool through grade 12 will also have the opportunity to participate in the Parent Conditions for Learning Survey. The Survey contains similar items to those on the Student Survey, focusing on areas that range from student safety, to positive adult and student relationships, to school rules and how they are enforced.
The Parent Survey will be accessible to parents or families online from April 1-30, 2024. Participation in the Survey is encouraged, but it is completely voluntary, and all questions are optional to answer. A copy of the items on the Survey is available by request.
Responses to the Parent Survey are confidential and the results are completely anonymous. No names are recorded, and no identifying information is attached to specific responses. The results of the Survey will be provided back to the school to be used with the Student Survey results for identifying areas of strengths, and areas for improvement.
Thank you for your involvement in Twin Cedars School to improve conditions for learning here and throughout the state. A link for the survey will be emailed to you.

Twin Cedars Preschool Registration
April 1st to April 30th
Your child needs to be 3 or 4 by September 15th.
3-year-old preschool is 2 half days a week the fee is $55 a month. 4-year-old preschool is 4 half days a week and there is no fee. We do provide noon transportation for $30 a month for 4-year-olds, and $20 a month for 3-year-olds.

Both the high school track meet at PCM and the jh high track meet at Wayne are canceled for tonight due to the weather conditions.

Twin Cedars is accepting sealed bids for a shed built by the Industrial Tech class. The reserve minimum bid for the shed is $1,600. Bids are due April 5th to:

On April 25, Twin Cedars will be administering the Conditions of Learning survey to students in Grades 3-12. A copy of the survey can be found in the elementary and high school offices. If you do not want your child to participate, you must return the refusal page. These letters are coming home this week.





Junior High and High School students will be taking ISASPs next week, April 8-12. Seniors will not need to report to school until after testing.


Preschool registration for 2024-25 opens today. Contact the office if you need a packet sent to you!


In the next two weeks, elementary students will be taking the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP.) This test is aligned with the Iowa Core standards and provides our school with valuable information. Please encourage your child to do his/her best on each of the tests given in this state-wide assessment. I've attached a schedule for testing. Please contact me if you have any questions. Thursday we had our Celebrations Assembly for March! Our Students of the Month were Izzy Puyear, Kaydin Fee, Zaydin Adams, Ryker Wooldridge, Lilian Gibbons, Bo Hoy, Bensen Goemaat, Paige DeGeest, Edison Pregon, Grace Moorman and Emily Luckey. We had a special award, the Stellar Saber Award, presented to Karli and Kelsi Klobnak. Three students were recognized for the positive bus behavior: Ayden Brees, Benton Kendall and Kolby Boots. Our Library Leader for March was Kauree Wooldridge. Kate Weldon and Liam Graham received the Goldfinch Award for reading all 20 Goldfinch books. 3rd Grade earned the attendance traveling trophy with 89% attendance in March. 59 students had perfect attendance in March and 5 students have had perfect attendance since August 23, 2023. Congratulations!


Congratulations to the Varsity Boys’ Track team for their performance at Belle Plaine on Thursday! Everyone performed well, but here are some of the standouts: Noah- 3rd in long jump, Wyatt- 2nd in shot put and 4th in discus, Brian- 3rd in discus, Joangel- 3rd in the mile, 4th in the 2 mile and part of the 3rd place 4x800 team that consisted of Jo, Carson, Robert and Xander. Great job, boys!
